Joe Louis Arena hosts WWE, concerts and more this fall
Though the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit is known as the home of the Detroit Red Wings, many other entertainers will call the arena home for a night later this summer and fall.
On Sept. 14, the arena will be transformed into a smackdown center when WWE comes to town with all your favorite superstars, including The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Jack Swagger, The Big Show, Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler and more.
On Sept. 18, Nickelback, Buckcherry and Three Days Grace will fill the stands for the last concert of the month, followed by two Red Wings preseason games against the Chicago Blackhawks (9/24) and the New York Rangers (9/26).
The first half of October is also taken up by Red Wings games, though there are just two preseason games before the real deal kicks off! If you want entertainment outside of hockey, then you don’t have to wait long. So You Think You Can Dance is coming to the Joe Louis Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
